February 25, 2021 Update
Our team continues to be encouraged by the support we are receiving from our Concord family. Thank you for your texts, emails, and personal messages of encouragement. We are grateful to know you are trusting the Lord's plan and praying

January 15, 2021 Update
Our team believes in the power of prayer and appreciates all who have taken part in the 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting.
One of our recent candidates expressed, “there are few tasks that place a believer in the midst of spiritual warfare quite like serving on a Pastor Search Team.” We have experienced that more in the last two months than at any point and we feel led to call on our church family for specific prayer for each of us. Would you please fervently pray for the following:
JAY
- Pray for his aunt (Marion) who is battling COVID/dementia and just recently lost her husband to COVID.
- Pray for cousins (Melanie and Bryan) who are dealing with the loss of their father while helping their mother.
- Pray for Jon and Nix as they head back to Liberty University for Spring semester.
GREG
- Pray for God’s continued protection over his family.
- Pray for the peace of God to dwell in him and that he will not grow anxious about the search for our new pastor.
STEPHANIE
- Pray for health for Bronson and Stephanie as they both are battling daily headaches.
- Pray for wisdom concerning work and how to honor the Lord in these challenging days.
- Pray for Dylan as he begins a new role serving as the Youth Pastor at Journey Church.
RON
- Pray for Ron and Joy as they are both recovering from COVID.
- Pray for Ron’s parents (Neil and Libby) who are both battling COVID and are struggling to get on the path to recovery.
- Pray for their daughter, Emily, who is recovering from COVID as well as the patients and staff at her facility.
DARRIN
- Pray for the physical and spiritual health of his family.
- Pray for his children, Abigail and Avery, who are both at important points in their lives and are seeking God’s wisdom in the decisions they have to make.
Thank you for lifting us up in prayer. We know God is at work and we continue to trust Him.

December 17, 2020 Update
As we quickly approach the end of this year, our team wants to thank you for your continued prayers and support as we keep pressing on to find God’s man for Concord. We have received several new resumes over the last couple of weeks and we are prayerfully reviewing them. We continue to reach out to trusted sources and have conversations with ministry leaders in various locations.
We know that prayer is vital to this task. It is through prayer and obedience that God delights in blessing. Ask yourself this question as you intercede for our body and the search for our senior pastor: “How blessed would our church be if those blessings were dependent on MY prayers?”
Starting January 4, our church family will come together for a time of prayer and fasting. When we humble ourselves, willingly sacrifice our wants for His sake, and commit to making prayer a priority then we can have confidence that God will hear us and answer. This takes ALL of us. It is the hope of our team that you will commit to being present for our 21 Days of Prayer and fasting and that you will fervently pray each day for the Pastor Search Team.

November 16, 2020 Update
Our team continues to meet weekly, to review resumes as we receive them, to listen to sermons, and to follow up with phone calls and interviews as God leads. We ask that you continue to pray for us as we devote ourselves to the task of finding God's man for Concord.
In this season of Thanksgiving, we thank God for our church family, our staff, our interim pastor, and for all the ways He is working in our midst. It's your prayers and constant expressions of support and encouragement that have made all the difference for us. We thank God for the things He has taught us along the way and we fully trust that His timing and plan for our church has not changed.
Let's all pray, walk in obedience, and anticipate what God is going to do!

October 15, 2020 Update
This past week we continued down the path that we believe God led us on and with complete trust in the Lord we had a second interview with a candidate. Prayers for clarity and discernment were answered as God closed the door and is now moving us forward.
Though the journey may be long and at times challenging, discouragement has no place where God’s goodness and grace have been clearly displayed. Our team is united and we are more hopeful than ever that God has us in His hands and is guiding us every step of the way.
Would you please pray specifically for our team members’ health, families, work responsibilities, and for God to light the next step we are to take.

September 15, 2020 Update
Thank you for taking the time to visit our church website to read an update from our team!
We want to thank all of you who have been joining us on Wednesdays for a time of prayer and fasting. God has been opening new doors of opportunity as we continue the search for our next Senior Pastor.
Our team has been prayerfully considering each candidate and working through the process of praying, reading, searching, and listening. To date we have considered over 80 candidates.
Thank you for continuing to support our team through your prayers and encouragement. Let us all pray that God will be magnified during this time as we seek His perfect will.
